Terms of Sale and Use
Last updated: November 2, 2026. Please read these terms carefully. They limit our liability and place responsibilities on you.
1. Agreement
These terms apply to your use of evroadhero.com and to every purchase of equipment from SledjeWorks, LLC, doing business as EVroadHERO (“EVroadHERO,” “we,” “us”). By using this website, placing an order, accepting delivery or using our equipment, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy, our Returns and Refunds page and our Safety and Responsible Use page. Keeping or using the equipment after delivery means you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or the equipment. If you buy for a company, you confirm you may bind that company, and “you” includes the company and its employees, contractors and other users of the equipment.
2. Who we sell to
EVroadHERO sells equipment to businesses, government and other organizations, operators and entrepreneurs, such as towing and roadside-assistance companies, and to individuals. We do not provide roadside-rescue or charging service to motorists. If you use the equipment to serve others, you, not EVroadHERO, are the service provider to them.
Not for sale or use in California. The equipment is not California CARB compliant and may not be sold, shipped to or used in California. You agree not to buy it for use in California or to resell it for that use.
3. Your responsibilities (read this section)
You agree that, before using the equipment on any vehicle, you will:
(a) read and follow the owner’s manual, warnings and instructions that come with the EVroadHERO equipment, including those for components made by others, such as its engine-driven inverter generator;
(b) check the vehicle manufacturer’s charging guidance for each vehicle you charge (its owner’s manual, charge-port labels, or the manufacturer’s roadside guidance, whichever is available) and follow its instructions and warnings. If you cannot confirm that charging is allowed, or you are unsure, do not charge that vehicle;
(c) confirm that the vehicle, its charge port and the equipment are compatible and in good condition, and not charge a vehicle that shows damage, leaks, smoke, heat, warning messages or other signs of a problem;
(d) use the equipment only as intended, without modification, with the supplied or approved cables and adapters, and in compliance with all applicable laws, codes, regulations, licensing and insurance requirements;
(e) make sure everyone who uses the equipment is trained, competent and has read the manuals; and
(f) get any permissions and make any disclosures you need to from vehicle owners before you charge their vehicle.
Charging an EV involves electricity and, for engine-driven equipment, fuel and exhaust. Using the equipment, including attaching it to a vehicle, is your decision and your responsibility.
4. Assumption of risk
You understand that using EV charging equipment has inherent risks, including electric shock, fire, burns, carbon monoxide and fuel hazards, damage to vehicles and their batteries, charging systems and electronics, loss of data or settings, and personal injury or death. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you voluntarily accept these risks for yourself and for the people who use or are near the equipment because of you.
5. Vehicles and results
Vehicle makers design their vehicles differently, and software, batteries and charging systems change. We do not guarantee that the equipment will charge, or will not affect, any particular vehicle. Range and charging-time figures on this site and in our materials are typical or illustrative, are not promises, and depend on the vehicle, battery state, temperature, terrain and other factors. Nothing on this site is professional engineering, electrical, automotive or safety advice for your situation. Content on this site is general information only. Where this site conflicts with the EVroadHERO manual or a vehicle manufacturer’s instructions, the manuals and instructions control.
6. Warranty and disclaimer
EVroadHERO equipment carries a one-year warranty from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship, when the equipment is used and maintained as the owner’s manual describes. To make a claim, contact us at 203-710-9300 or RSledje@EVroadHERO.com. Our remedy under the warranty is, at our choice, repair, replacement or refund of the purchase price of the defective equipment. The warranty does not cover misuse, abuse, accident, modification, unauthorized repair, improper storage or maintenance, normal wear, consumables, or use outside the owner’s manual or these terms.
EXCEPT FOR THE WRITTEN WARRANTY ABOVE, THE EQUIPMENT AND THIS WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” AND TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW WE DISCLAIM ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Some places do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
7. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EVROADHERO AND ITS OWNERS, MEMBERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOSS OF USE, TOWING OR DOWNTIME COSTS, OR DAMAGE TO ANY VEHICLE, BATTERY, PROPERTY OR DATA, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE EQUIPMENT, THIS WEBSITE OR THESE TERMS, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE EQUIPMENT OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE EQUIPMENT THAT IS THE SUBJECT OF THE CLAIM.
If you are an individual buying for personal, family or household use, you may have rights that cannot be waived, and parts of these terms may not apply to you. Some places do not allow limits on certain damages, including for personal injury, so these limits apply only as far as the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Your responsibility for your use and your customers
As between you and EVroadHERO, you are responsible for how the equipment is used by you, your employees, contractors and customers, and for any loss, damage or injury caused by that use, including any damage to a vehicle you charge and any claim by a vehicle owner, driver or other third party. EVroadHERO is not a party to your service agreements. We recommend that you carry appropriate business, garage-keepers, commercial general liability and other insurance for your operations, and that you use written customer authorizations and your own legal advice.
9. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless EVroadHERO and its owners, members, officers, employees, contractors and suppliers from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your or your users’ use or misuse of the equipment; (b) your failure to follow the manuals, warnings, laws or these terms; (c) your services or statements to your customers; or (d) damage to any vehicle or property, or injury to any person, caused by the equipment’s use, except to the extent a court finally determines it was caused by our own gross negligence or willful misconduct.
10. Orders, prices and shipping
Prices are in U.S. dollars. An order is accepted when we confirm it by email or phone. Shipping typically occurs within two weeks of receipt of order. Applicable taxes and shipping charges, if any, are confirmed before you pay. Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier takes the shipment. Financing, where offered, comes from a third party and is subject to its approval and terms. Returns and refunds are described on our Returns and Refunds page.
11. Website use
Do not misuse this website, attempt to break or overload it, or copy our content, images or trademarks without permission. EVroadHERO and its logos are our marks. We may change or remove content at any time. We are not responsible for third-party sites we link to.
12. Resolving disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us and give us 30 days to try to resolve it. Any lawsuit must be brought in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you agree to their jurisdiction. If you are a government agency, these terms apply only to the extent the law allows for your agency. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to bring claims only for yourself and not as part of a class or group action, and any claim you have must be filed within one year after it arises.
13. General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect and the unenforceable part will be limited only as much as necessary. These terms, with the pages they refer to, are our entire agreement with you about the equipment and this site. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it. We may update these terms; the version posted when you place an order applies to that order. Sections that by their nature should continue after a sale ends (including sections 3 to 9 and 12) continue.
